I Chase Storms
My journeys chasing through the high plains and beyond.
Tornadoes
Everything from small landspouts to powerful raging tornadoes.
Hail
Hail ranging from pea size to softballs and larger. I have had more than a few surprises when storms decide to pummel me with large hail. I love the excitement hail brings but also try to avoid very large damaging hail (aka gorilla hail). Not because I am afraid of the hail, I am afraid of the cost of covering the damages to my chasing vehicle. This image shows relatively small quarter inch hail.
Stormy Night Skies
Storms at night often produce amazing lightning shows. While I typically do not chase tornadoes at night, if I have the chance to soak in the views I will. This photo is in the sand hills of Nebraska, a few hours after dark and completely lit by lightning.

Colorful Clouds
I love seeing intense storms showing off their colors when the sun sets.
